Tel: 01224 822835 YOUNG CRICKETERS Clubs are reminded that all teams must comply with the safety guidlines issued by Cricket Scotland in respect of the wearing of helmets and fielding restrictions by young players. The fast bowling directives in respect of players who are Under 19 must also be observed in all Union matches. These are given on Page 16. Any club which does not have a copy of the latest regulations should contact Cricket Scotland immediately. Cupar Cricket Club Just as the season was due to start, the decision was taken by the club to withdraw from membership of the League. The club intends to continue to promote the playing of cricket in the town and hopes that they will soon be able to return to competitive action. The decision was taken in the light of the unavailability of some of the regular cricketers and also a realisation that the pavilion needs a significant effort to return it to an acceptable standard. Everyone in the Union will wish them well in their endeavours.
