Strathmore Cricket Union: the first 90 years a history 1928-2018

150 Under 18 title had not the final been arranged for the same day as the seniors were contesting the senior Scottish Cup final, and losing to Grange at Hamilton Crescent. And the fruits of their youth policy were once again evident in 1991 when, reminiscent of the old days, Strathmore won the First Division of the Strathmore Union. The weather was once again reasonably kind and Strathmore were able to play and finish 16 out of their 18 games. For the first time since before the Second World War, Montrose won the Second Division Championship playing all 20 games scheduled and losing only one of them to lift the Charles Renilson Trophy (Charles Renilson being at one time Provost of Forfar, as well as President of Strathmore) as well as the Two Counties Cup, while the Aberdeen Cricket Association won the Three Counties Cup.
