175 their success of last year in the Premier League did so by playing only 10 games. Mind you, they won them all! This was the fourth time that they had won the Championship this century, so it was difficult to dispute the contention that they were the team of the decade. Strathmore who came second had the winners of both the Batting and the Bowling Averages in Stevie Blackie and Mark Stewart. Rossie Priory won the First Division beating Strathearn into second place while Kinross and Glendelvine won the other two divisions. One often feels that when one goes to Rossie Priory one enters a time warp. It is not the easiest of grounds for a stranger to find, but once you get there, the rest of the world seems to evaporate and to take second place to the wonderful game that cricket is, with even the resident spectators (the cows) sharing that view. Rossie showed that although they may have been formed the best part of two centuries ago, they were still developing for the future. Their Under 13 team won their trophy this year beating, among others, both the Arbroath Lichties and the Arbroath Smokies. Arbroath United however won the Under 15 tournament, and also the Two Counties Cup while the Aberdeenshire Cricket Association won the Three Counties Cup.
