Just after the 2012 season finished, the Union suffered its second severe loss with the passing, at the age of 88, of TomMcLeod, one of its Honorary Presidents. A member of the committee since 1971, Tom attended meetings for almost 40 years until his final illness took its toll. With his trademark tartan trews, Tom was a fixture at Union events, often being called upon to present the trophy at Cup Finals. His influence was felt throughout Scottish cricket during his period as SCU member for the North District and his was always a voice of innovation, consistency and reason.
