Strathmore Cricket Union: the first 90 years a history 1928-2018
183 as the Cricket Scotland Challenge Cup, beating Kilmarnock in the Final. It was a good season for Forfarshire for their first team won the national Murgitroyd competition, and Forthill 2nd XI won the Two Counties Cup. The Two Counties Cup and the Three Counties Cup were now very sensibly played on a Finals day which attracted reasonable crowds. Stoneywood- Dyce won the First Division while Arbroath United XI and Falkland XI were the successful teams at the lower levels. In 2016 Gordonians confirmed their resurrection by winning the North- Eastern Championship and lifting the Three Counties Cup into the bargain. They also won the Cricket Scotland Challenge Cup again to complete a very impressive treble. Unfortunately they did not make it into the EPL, but it was a genuinely fine performance by Gordonians who looked as if they would be a force to be reckoned with in years to come. Aman Arora won the award for the Batting Aggregate, although the Average award went Gordonians - Winners of the North-East Championship, Three Counties Cup and the Cricket Scotland Challenge Cup in 2016 Back:- Aman Arora, Mayank Bhandari, Himanshu Saraswat, Chris Forbes, Hamza Arshad, Bebo Barman Front:- Jason Stark, Marc Jones, Krutik Patel (OA), Swapnil Rane (Capt), Sree Devadas, Chamila Perera
