Strathmore Cricket Union: the first 90 years a history 1928-2018

184 to Peter Drummond of Meigle. Kinloch won the First Division and Perth Doo’cot the Two Counties Cup, while this year the three Recreation and Development Leagues (East, North and West) were won by Dunnikier of Kirkcaldy, Arbroath United XI and Perth Doo’cot 3rds. Youth competitions continued, although it was perhaps an exaggeration to describe the Under 18 tournament as a “League”. Only one game was played and Arbroath United beat Forfarshire. Arbroath United also won the other two youth tournaments, although they had to play more teams to do so. 2017 saw Stoneywood-Dyce win the North-Eastern Championship. Sadly they did not gain promotion to the Eastern Premier League losing heavily to Corstorphine in the play-off at Falkland. The First Division was won by St Andrews University Staff whereas the four Recreational and Development Leagues were won by Strathmore XI, Comrie, Stoneywood-Dyce XI and Kismet. Perth Doo’Cot XI won the Two Counties Cup and Forfarshire 2nds the Three Counties Cup.
