The!runner!up!is!a!young!player!who!is!a!definite! allMrounder,!a!right!arm! bowler!and!a!left!handed! batter.!Possessing!a!good! bowling!action!this! cricketer!puts!the!ball!in! the!right!areas!and!can! spin!it!away!from!the! right!hander.!Apart!from! presenting!a!good! straight!bat,!he!can!also! and!pull!and!hook!the! ball!well!like!most!left! handers,!but!can!also! play!the!ball!on!the! offside!too.!This!young! lad!enjoys!his!cricket!and! plays!with!a!smile!on!his! face.!A!fine!player!for!the! future!if!he!continues!to!listen!and!learn!with!such! enthusiasm.!! The!winner!of!this!award!was!very!difficult!to! choose!this!year!as!all!the!players!present!have! improved!massively!from!last!year!and!have!all!put! tremendous!effort!in,!week!in!week!out.!This!player! bowls!a!great!line!and!length!and!has!developed! her!batting!from!last!year,!playing!with!a!straight! bat!and!showing!great!shot!selection.!The!winner!is! a!pleasure!to!coach,!always!listens!to!advice!and! tries!her!best!to!put!that!advice!into!practice.!This! young!cricketer!plays!with!a!smile!on!her!face!and! will!no!doubt!go!on!to!take!wickets!and!bat!solidly! with!the!team!in!mind. ! This!youngster!made!good!progress!during!the!10! weeks,!listening!to!advice!and!putting!it!into!! ! ! ! ! ! ! ! ! ! ! ! practice.!Able!to!bowl!an!accurate!outswinger! when!getting!everything!right,!usually!resulting!in! a!great!big!smile,!our!runner!up!doesn't!try!to!bowl! too!fast!and!has!improved!his!approach!and! developed!a!tall!action.!Batting!has!seen!similar! improvements,!staying!tall!and!maintaining!good! balance.!There!is!still!work!to!do,!but!well!done!on! the!progress!so!far.! Runner!Up:!Evan!Richards ! At!the!early!sessions!this!young!player!was!very! quiet,!but!as!the!players!in!the!net!got!to!know!one! another!over!the!weeks,!confidence!rose.!A!good! listener,!with!the!ability!to!put!into!practice!the! coaching!points!raised.!As!a!bowler,!the!winner!has! a!good!straight!approach!and!bowling!action! resulting!in!good!accuracy,!but!he!occasionally!gets! a!little!frustrated!when!things!don't!all!come! together.!But!he!listens,!takes!stock!and!works!it! out.!His!batting!also!showed!steady!improvement! over!the!weeks,!developing!a!good!technique!M! keeping!very!still!and!playing!the!ball!late.!For!a! young!player!he!plays!cut!and!pull!shots!well.!Not! quite!as!assured!playing!in!front!of!the!wicket,!but! this!is!an!area!I'm!sure!this!player!will!work!on!
