17 I would like to say that after all the years being involved with the coaching at Wombwell Cricket Lovers’ Society, this season has undoubtedly been the most rewarding. Usually, there are a handful of youngsters who attend, listen and then try to put into practice what the coach is suggesting. This year the participants have been excellent in listening, asking questions and executing plans and the improvements have been in evidence in every net. Finally, on a personal note, I shall be moving away from the area during the summer of 2015 therefore it is with great sadness that I have to relinquish my position as Coaching Co-ordinator with the Wombwell Cricket Lovers’ Society. It has been a great honour to have been entrusted with such a prestigious office within this famous society and I have enjoyed it immensely during the time I have been involved. Thank you to all the excellent coaches, to the parents for your participation, encouragement and wonderful support and, of course, to all the young cricketers who have taken part in the sessions. I wish you all a successful and rewarding cricketing future and hope that the WCLS has been able in some way to help in your development, wherever that may take you.
