Harry Sullivan - Slow left-arm bowler from Leeds. After a fine season in 2018 he was awarded an Academy Con - tract at the end of the season aged just 15. Harry Duke - Wicket-keeper/batsman from Wakefield. Played for the U17 Academy league side, made his 2nd XI debut aged 16 and also awarded an Academy Con- tract. Harrison Quarmby - Right-arm pace bowler from Huddersfield. Awarded a Scholarship Contract after very successful U17 campaigns in 2017 and 2018 and a very popular member of the squad. The question and answer session began with the boys being asked their aspirations for season 2019 and the future. They were all obviously very keen to progress to the top, and if enthusiasm counts for anything, they are well on their way. A lot of questions were asked about schools’ cricket in Yorkshire and England (or lack of it) and everyone agreed that further progress was re- quired to catch the talented cricketers at a young age. Asked which form of cricket they preferred, they were unanimous in wanting to play the game in all its forms. Ben was asked about his future and he informed us that he was desperate to have an injury-free season and progress accordingly. Harry Duke and Sullivan were asked about their successful 2018 season and they said the highlight was beating Surrey in the final at Lord’s. The boys were asked questions about how they got in- volved in cricket and Richard was at his usual best at fielding questions about all aspects of the game to con- clude a first-class evening.
