92 Fosters Lancashire Cricket League LEAGUE PROFESSIONALS 2014 ACCRINGTON - Ockert Erasmus (Boland, SouthAfrica) Ocki is no stranger to the League having spent the previous 3 seasons at East Lancs where he scored just short of 2,000 runs and took 187 wickets, including a best of 6-38 against his new club in 2012. Last season was his most productive to date with 860 runs and 55 wickets. He was also captain of the victorious Lancashire League side that won the Lookers T20 tournament. During the South African Domestic season he had some excellent one-day performances for Boland, and was amongst the leading wicket takers in both the Provincial one-day and T20 competitions. Ocki follows in the footsteps of another South African Peter Swart, who was the last Professional to play for bothAccrington and East Lancs. BACUP ( ) - HaseebAzam Pakistan Bacup have appointed Pakistani first class player Haseeb Azam for the 2014 season. The 27 year old who plays for Rawalpindi is a right hand medium fast opening bowler and a middle order left hand batsman. In his 30 first class matches to date he has scored 969 runs at 26.91 and has taken 114 wickets at 21.45. He joins us after enjoying a successful season with his team winning the Quaid-e Azam trophy under the captaincy of Babar Naeem. BURNLEY - Chris Holt Burnley CC have signed Chris Holt from Padiham as professional for the 2014 season. Chris is a left arm spinner and top order batsman and has had significant success in local league cricket both as a professional and amateur. He is a great teamman and an excellent all round cricketer who will make a great contribution to Burnley Cricket Club both on and of the field. CHURCH - UsmanTariq (Pakistan) Church have signed Usman Tariq as professional for the 2014 season.Aleft-hand top order batsman and right-arm off spin bowler Usman Tariq has excelled in his native Pakistan since his List-Adebut at just 13 years of age. Usman, now 29, has scored over 10,000 runs in 1st class and List A matches including 3 double hundreds, 17 hundreds and 62 fifties. In 1st class matches Usman has also taken 78 wickets at an average of 30 runs per wicket. Usman, a former Pakistani Under- 19 player, has an impressive record and is an experienced and established league professional. In the last 8 seasons as professional for Greenmount, Radcliffe and Walkden he has scored 9489 league runs at an average of over 56 and taken 310 wickets at an average of 18 runs per wicket. In those 8 seasons Usman has scored over 1,000 league runs on 6 occasions with a seasons highest of 1639 runs for Greenmount in 2006 and in 2010 forWalkden 1476 runs.
