LCL Handbook 2026 23 The Champions were well served during the season by Captain Ben Heap who made 676 runs, 2 centuries, 2 fifties and personal best 179 but top scorer was Jonny Whitehead with 683 runs with 1 century and 2 fifties, add to this TomWalkers 395, Professional Dan Salpietro’s 342 and Henri Cottam’s 330 and you can see where the consistency was based. With the ball, TomWalker, 43, Dan Salpietro 41 and Paddy Martin 39 were the main wicket takers. Their record was P 22 W 16 L 3 NR 3 BP 44 Total points 219 This is Lowerhouse’s fifth Lancashire League Championship. Next we have awards for individual performances. The amateur with the highest score in a league match was Ben Heap at Lowerhouse on 13th July in an opening partnership of 245 against Norden partnership with179 striking 30 fours and 3 sixes. The best bowling return in a match was by Noah Priestley of Todmorden with 8 for 14 at Todmorden to bowl Burnley out for 53 on the 17th May. There were two wicket keepers with 5 victims and the first was at Crompton on the 25th May against Colne with 4 catches and 1 stumping, Kain Dean of Crompton. And secondly at Burnley on 24th June, five catches for Chris Burton of Burnley. In Division two the winner of the batting award for most runs scored 825 runs with a top score of 169 not out at home to Nelson on 9th August along with four other half centuries and an average of 45.83, Lewis Wright of Enfield. The bowling award went to Ben Lord of Bacup who took 53 wickets at 15.75 each, 3 five wicket hauls and a best of 6 for 43. Two wicketkeepers in division two had 23 victims, one had 18 catches and 5 stumpings, the other 15 catches and 8 stumpings and joint winners were Emile Haratabar of Accrington and Ben Parkinson of Church. The Premier League batting award went to Jake Hooson of Walsden who made 827 runs, a top score of 102 and 6 fifties with an average of 55.13. The bowling award was taken by Oliver Wetton of Darwen who took 44 wickets at an average of 10.75, and a best of 6 for 36 with 3 five wicket hauls. The wicketkeeping award for most victims in the Premier league went to Joe Martin who took his 100th stumping for Lowerhouse, the first to do so, he had 35 victims, 25 catches and 10 stumpings.
